Announcement

Dear clients and friends, I have an announcement that is scary for me, but it is time.

For years I have been working day and night, both with my photography business and a full time day job as well. I have loved every session, every moment of capturing your families and the special times in your lives. I am so grateful for the business I have built and the trust you have instilled in me to capture your most precious memories. But, behind the scenes I have been run down and drowning with the work load and lack of time with my own family. For the next few months I will be taking a break to focus on family time and recharging my creative batteries.

One of the reasons this is so emotional for me – even though it’s just a break – is that photography has been my whole identity for over a decade of my life and it scares me to take time away from that! I worry I might miss out on an opportunity or lose a favorite client, but for the last few years I have been at my busiest and I have missed out on time with my family, and just time off in general.

I still have sessions booked through October, but I will not be taking any new bookings for a few months. When spring comes around I will re-evaluate and decide how I want to proceed with my business. I’m forever grateful for the blessings of this company, for the families I have been able to capture and share in their special moments throughout the years, many of you I now consider to be friends. I look forward to being able to have a chance to pull my camera back out after I take a little break to find my creative voice again.
